Leopard

Sunday, July 11th, 2010

To start with I pencil in the outline. This took about 5 hours to do. Once that was done I went over it with white chalk.

After the white chalk has been applied I smudge it in and then start to apply the different colors. For this I used brown, green, and a bit of yellow.

Once the other colors have been applied I then smudge them together and afterwards use an eraser to clean up the picture and refine the drawing.

Bono and The Edge

Thursday, June 10th, 2010

This picture is done in chalk, what makes it special is I didn’t smudge the chalk. Not to be lazy, but with the type of paper I used it gave it a very nice effect.

Dunes of Flesh

Thursday, June 10th, 2010

Similar to my dunes of ink picture, this one came first though. It’s a little more difficult to see what’s behind the dunes.

Innocence

Thursday, June 10th, 2010

I like this picture so much I’ve drawn it twice. This isn’t a black and white picture as a lot of blending of different colors went into the picture to give it the effect of a silhouette.

Troll in the dungeon

Tuesday, June 8th, 2010

This was done as a present for Sylvie, we are both huge harry potter fans. I still want to do draw a lot more of these. I got this from the audio books. I would strongly advise getting your hands on them if you already don’t. They are great to listen to on long drives.

Melua

Tuesday, June 8th, 2010

A cute face, the name Melua is just what I think a good name for the face. The picture is done with chalk on black paper.

Dunes of Ink

Tuesday, June 8th, 2010

This is from the Dunes of Flesh picture but with Ink, it’s a lot easier to make out the women in the picture.

Vanderpers

Tuesday, June 8th, 2010

This is a ink drawing of the Vanderper cousins, well, three of them anyway. It was drawn while in Groningen as a present for Leen. Ink is a great substance to create pictures with. I always enjoyed using it and have created a lot of pictures.

Zebra x 3

Tuesday, June 8th, 2010

So you should be seeing three Zebra in this picture. I’ve been told that there are more than three, and maybe there are, but I only intended to draw three. So if you see more I’d be happy for you to point them out

Zebra 1

Tuesday, June 8th, 2010

The Zebra collection, this are some great pictures. they were done with marker, felt pen, so when drawing them I couldn’t make any mistakes. As you can probably guess, I made a lot of mistakes, more than I’d care to point out.

Woman in the Woods

Tuesday, June 8th, 2010

This is going to be hard to see, there is a woman in this picture. It was painted as a gift for a friend and I’m sure they looked at it when they first saw it and thought what they hell is that. But there is a woman there.

Simplicity

Tuesday, June 8th, 2010

Simplicity is one of the first pictures I sketched after finishing college. I hadn’t drawn in a long time and I wanted to do something really big. This is the result and it was huge, over 1m in height and about 70cm in width. I got the picture from an Native American deck of cards.

Hulk

Tuesday, June 8th, 2010

This was a great picture I created for my brother Mark. I’m hoping to do a lot more like it, I think it would be very cool to have a superhero collection.
